Hi I would like advise on how much it would cost to install a projector, screen, and some d-line trunking in this garage (Middlesex area). Waiting for my JVC Hd350 to arrive and am looking for an manual 120' screen. This is the wall i would like to mount the screen on, i think ceiling mounted is the best option here. I'm not sure but i believe the ceiling is plasterboard covering rafters. Will this be a problem for mounting projector/screen?
It has been suggested that a plank of wood might need to be nailed into ceiling, and then everything can be mounted on that is this necessary. This is the other end of the screen where the projector will be mounted. I just wanted to get a basic rate on how much it would cost to install projector and screen and then concentrate on other things step by step. But I plan on spending 250 maybe 300 on an amp and about 600 on 5.1 speakers. As i am looking at a manual screen/pj mount which i will source myself, and most of the other items you listed will be bought in the future.
As a rough estimate how much do you think it would be to install a projector, mount and screen (with labour and VAT), i presume this could be done in one day. Again will plasterboard present problems for installation, furthering the cost. Also sorry for being a complete noob but what does SRP mean? Thanks for your help.
Its always difficult to estimate time/cost without being on site and seeing for yourself what the unique problems/challenges of any particular job are. You mention plasterboard your certainly not going to hang an HD350 + ceiling mount off of plasterboard and what about power, signal cables etc. If this is a dedicated room go with a fixed screen rather than manual (or electric) drop down they are always a compromise unless you go tab tensioned!
Probably best to let folk now what area youre in and get some recommendations for suitable installers and then get a couple of quotes from folk who can come onsite and have a good look at whats going to be required. El Reportaje Periodistico Pdf - The Best Software For Your there. What i would like to know is, if the regular way of insulating (as opposed to acoustic insulating) a brick wall will provide some sound proofing. Alternatively if sound proofing using an air gap between existing wall and new independent stud wall will reduce thermal insulation. Since sound proof walls are not connected to the existing walls will that mean that will not be able to support the extra load of a projector screen? Should sound proofing even be a consideration since i cannot afford to replace doors and windows which as i understand would defeat the point.
How much would it cost to have someone insulate my garage either way? Hiya, There a few ways to do the walls, if they are bare brick at the moment and you have the room you could construct a studwall in front of them and then fill the gaps with something like Rockwool insulation the n plaster board over the studwall. Or another way would be to get plaster board with a polysterene (I think that's how you spell it?
